Mrs. Myron Reynolds startled the crowd when she appeared In a Hawaiian costume for her dip in the ocean. There is ao record that Klamath Reservation Lands to One Hundred twenty Tracts. Aggregat ing 10,000 Acres, of Timber. Graz ing and Irrigable Lands for Sale One hundred and twenty tracts, ag gregating 10,000 acres of timber land. grazing land and irrigable land on the Klamath Indian reservation are soon to be advertised for sale by Superin tendent William Freer. The lands mentioned are the es tates of debased Indians and aged In dians who are in need of funds and unable to derive an Income from their lands, all of which are advertised from time to time to the white set tlers. The land flrst is appraised and then offered for sale, all bids to be equal to or above the appraised value. Some very profitable Investments are made In this way, as the land usu ally goc3 for $ 1 0 per acre, or less. As the Modoc and Klamath Indians are civilized nnd rapidly developing their reservation, there Is not the objection to dwelling among them that exist In many sections of the West. The agri cultural lauds there are adapted to the production of clover, alsike and alfalfa for the feeding .of stock, but not, as a usual thing, for the produc. tlon of grains. Every possible aid Is given the In dians by the government ofllcialg to get the best results from their lands. The Indian reclamation service now has 11,000 acres under one of the bett equipped Irrigation systems of the .United States, and Is at work Increas ing this area. One hundred and forty one thousand acres of the reservation NOSE CLOGGED FROM A COLO OR CATARRH Aaalr Cream is Naatfsw Ta ( Daw Up Air iii i iii .''' Ah! The Indians were given practical instructions ift Irrigation methods last J season by experts in this line, and it is now the desire of Engineer Hincks to lease scattered tracts throughout the irrigated district to experienced white settlers, so that Indians on ad- joining ranches may pront oy tnetr example. The best seed, farm ma chinery and livestock procurable Is supplied to the Klamath Indians, who are said to be the most progressive of all the Indian tribes. Each Indian on the Klamath reservation Is worth over 129,000. HAVE DARK HAIR AND LOOK YOUNG NOItOUV CAN TELL WHEN YOU DARKEN JR.IY. FADED HAIR WITH BAOK TEA Grandmother kept her hair beauti fully darkened, glossy and attractive j with a brew of Sage Tea and 8ulphur. Whenever her hair took on that dull, faded or streaked appearance, this simple mixture was applied with won ! derful effect. By asking at any drug Irtore for "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound,' you will get a large bot i tie of this old-time recipe, Improved by the addition of other' Ingredients, all ready to use, for about SO cents. Tbls simple mixture can be depended upon to restore natural color and beauty to tbe balr, A well known downtown druggist says everybody uses Wyetbs Sage and Sulphur Compound now because it darkens so naturally aad evenly that nobody can tell it baa been applied ii so easy to use, too. You simply dampen a comb or soft brush and draw it through your hair, taking one strand at a time. By morning the ; gray hair disappears: after another application or two, It Is restored to ltfl natural colb and looks glossy, soft and beautiful. Tbls preparation Is a delightful toilet requisite. It la sot Intended for tb cure, mitigation or prerMtloa of disease. Adv. THE EVENING HERALD. VLAMATH fa facn peeped out. Dut when Mrs. Frank C.
