MISCELLANEOUS

hlamath County High School Student
EVERT age has Its special watch
word. Efficiency is the watch
word of modern time. It is worked
and used again and again. People
have learned by practical experience
that an efficiency code ia an excellent
thing, especially for those who Install
It. In this case, the word "efficiency"
corresponds to the real character of
the times. ,
In all walks of life, whether it be
In the business, social or religious
life, efficiency Is the cry. We want
efficient men and women.
Community development goes hand
in hand with efficiency. Improved
machinery Is another Important fac
tor In promoting efficiency.
Very few young men and women
know their shortcomings. Life Is too
short for young men and women to
waste the best part of their early
j ears drifting about, not realizing
their ambitions. Nothing can be ac
complished unless we have efficiency.
An efficient code, bureau, "experts,
men and women are needed for our
country.
Toung people are needed for Junior
civic leagues, chambers of commerce,
so that they will be able to fit them
selves for the future business life.
Every business man who has the
management of an office force, or
manufacturing establishment, and ev
ery woman who cares and manages a
household, should feel that the duty
of efficiency is as Important as econ
omy. "Take care of the seconds, and the
hours will look after themselves."
