Already 335,000,000 seals hare been printed, and practically distributed to agents In every state aad territory in the Union from Alaska la the north to the Canal Zone la the south, and from Porto Rice in the east to Ha waii la the west Advertising circulars, posters, cards, etc., to the number of several million have also been distributed. Not less than 1.000,000 personal let ters asking people to buy seals have been sent oat It is estimated that the army of workers, nearly all of whom are vol unteers, engaged In selling the seals numbers well over 500.000. The ad vertising and publicity donated to the campaign amounts to several hundred thousand dollars. Eery effort Is being put forth to sell 73,000,000 seals, or leas than one for every man. woman and child In the United States. 'This will mean 1750,000 for the sntl-tuberculosls campaign in the United States, and particularly all of the 1,200 antl-tubereuloals associa tions of the country derive their sup port from Red Cross seals. Red Cross seals can be purchased at the library and at several business houses. Every cent received from the sale of stamps here and elsewhere in the state will be used exclusively for tuberculosis work in Oregon by the state association for the study and prevention of tuberculosis. The church occupies a 'prominent place In the New Testament scrip tures, its foundation, creed, laws of admission, discipline aad world em bracing work and mission is set forth therein with great clearness and pre cision. It has been constituted, by Its divine founder, "the pillar and support of the truth" God has re vealed to the world, and consequently Its Importance cannot be easily over estimated. It is freighted with the responsibility of publishing the good tidings of a great Joy to all people and of making known God'a love aad solicitude and his offer of free salva tion to every one on the conditions set forth In the Gospel. If Christ's attitude to the church cannot be learned from the scriptures It can not be known. The apostles who were commanded to teach the disciples to observe all thlnga whatsoever the Lord com manded, have written with great full ness and precision In regard to tho church. Go ye, therefore, and make disciples of the nations," he comraltteed to his church the great est enterprise that has ever engaged the mind of mortal man. Napoleon.
