This year's type of girl is the daguerreotype! Hoops, mitts, buttles and pantalettes not a thing is missing. For two or three seasons now there has been a threat of pantalettes in the offing, but they hare made very few appearances In the "oning," at 'twere. This year it really looks as If they were going to hang on to the lower limbs of some of our very best family trees, however. Thar are really most attractive. these 1916 pantalettes. Those tor wear with street and daytime frocks are almost as wide and voluminous aa divided skirts. To go with the smart fur-banded gowns now so popular the pantalettes are also finished with a band of fur around the ankles, and sometimes a inching of the material is used below tha far. Charming lace and net pantalettes like those we saw occasionally last season are for wear with the fluffy dance frocks, whose skirts are almost a short and bouffant as those of a belle of the ballet. A new note is struck In evening pantalettes by a striking model ot silk cut like the straight long pants of a Chinese, belle and banded with gold or silver gal loon as a finish. Speaking ot 'galloon, a novel use ot this metallic banding is shown on a model evening frock worn in Marie Tempest's present play.- It is a gown ot pompadour silk with a tight bodice and over the full, extremely full, and short, extremely short, skirt is an even fuller oversklrt of white tulee finished with a band, of silver gal loon around the hem, caught here and there with tiny artificial nose gays. The stiff galloon acts delight fully in lieu of wire to give that de sirable crinoline effect For yes lndeedy, though we aren't The same program as was shown tlast night at the Star will be shown tonight. This comedy in five reels by the, Laskey players was well re-, ceived last night and is one that is likely to please all patrons as It is full of many good laughs and is something out of the ordinary in the way of comedy. Tomorrow night' the famous com edy drama in Ave reels by the Famous players with an all star cast will be shows. This feature is one that re celvea most favorable comment in the Motion Picture World and it will 1 no doubt prove to be among the best of features. Whllo most ot the wiring is done around the hem ot the full short skirts, yet another effect Is obtained by wiring out sldowaya over the hips. This builds you out sideways Ilka Velcsquex's celebrated portrait of the Spanish Infanta. If you don't care tor these side ex tensions, however, fashion ia most elastic this year, and allows a rear extension with equal impunity. It's the good old bustle again, ot course, brought up to date by being formed ot rippling folds ot silk back breadths. This back draped bustle effect is much favored on formal evening gowns ot heavy satin or vel vet that are very delicate and long of train. Quite the most reminiscent of dear old granny's youth is a model Jacket suit of black and red wool plaid. It has a short full skirt and little short full jacket, which once removed re veals to startled modern eyes a little low n$ck waist ot the plaid, abso lutely sleeveless save for tiny cap like puffs ot the plaid over each shoulder. With this sleeveless day time gown aro worn quaint kid. gloves reaching .midway of the forearm and laced up the side. These side-laced gloves are quite the newest feature at hand, and are worn with every sort of daytime toi lette. Black lace mitts are also per mitted with dressy afternoon frocks. Though the gloves are laced, they aren't lace, you understand, whereas the mitts are not laced, but are lace. The little top hats worn over one eye, the flowing window curtain veils. the little round muffs and rippling shoulder capes of fur, the extra high buttoned boots for day wear and the high ribbon laced cothurns for even ing, all, all are old stuff lifted from the heyday of our grandamea' youth. Quite the only thing we seem to have overlooked in our wholesale copying is, of course, what would have profited us -most messing, of course, her lovely old-word manners. elor, who buries himself in his books and forgets the world until one day he awakens to find that he haa lost bis heart to bis ward, Sylvia, the role of which is played by Lorraine Hul tng. Most of the best dressed women in Klamath Falls have had an opportunity this season to inspect the Stocks and styles in the big stores of San Francisco during their visits to the Fair, and the fact that we have sold nearly double the amount of Suits and Coats this year, over any previous year, is significant. Many of these' women have told us that not only is our stock equal to that found in the city, but our charges are less for the same goods. STILTS DRYGOODS COMPANY L county's products.
