Klamath coatity took third prize at
tho Denver Drt'-I.and Show recently,
according to llio first reports that
reached this section. As this was a
national ahow.'ln which dry land sec
tions from nil parts of the United
States competed, this is one of tho
f biggest triumpliR yet accorded to
Klamath county.
1 Colorado sections won the first
t prizes. (
The exhibit was sont off two weeks
I ago, as a general exhibit. Only a
. few products ,wcro on hand at the
'time, mostly dry land alfalfa, peas,
Soudan grass, etc., and County Agri
culturist Roland Ulnlsyer and Fred
Fleet had little hopes of securing' any
kind of a trophy, considering the com
petition. Dut apparently even the
few products showed their superior
ity, and the third prize waa secured.
Commercial Club officials are re
solved that' all, other, land shows to
which Klamath county Is eligible will
be furnished exhibits from here.

ufacturers and Land Products Show
at Portland, October 25th to Novem
ber 13th, according to Fred Fleet of
the Commercial Club. Last year this
section took first prise.

Fleet. "Wo want agricultural pro--
ducts of all kinds for to take the

that the artillery bombardment has

are preparing to retire on a wide

Many new projects of the telephone
company will soon put nearly every
phone In Klamath Falls on an Indi
vidual line. These projects will be
completed In sixty days.
The first project will put the
phones of the Hot Springs addition,
before on party lines, on Individual
lines. It will be accomplished by
means of a cable.
A cable will be put up beginning on
Eleventh and Pine, and following
Eleventh out to supply Crescent and
tl.e vicinity of the new court house.
Individual phones for the rooms of
the court house can be connected with
this cable. A branch cable will ex
tend up Worden, past the Catholio
church, and give, telephone subscrib
ers In that section Individual lines.

provements in the Klamath Falls tele;
phope system. Under-ground and
