welfare of the nation, .will attend the
national congress of recreation, which

der the auspices of the Panama-Pa
cific exposition.
The program was completed after
several months of hard work by a
committee headed by Eustace M.
Plexotto of San Francisco. The busi
ness sessions will be 'held in the Civic
Auditorium, with special entertain
ment at the exposition, at various
beach resorts In the vicinity, and at
several of the principal playgrounds.
Yesterday was devoted to a civic
celebration of Independence Day at
the exposition as part of the general
festivities. The orator of the day
was William Jennings Bryan, former
secretary of atate.
