They do not propose to oVtr the present building and alte for aale at present, nor until there la aa oppor tunity to sell for a good figure; that ao aale win be made until tbe people have been fully informed aa to price and the proposed use to which the grouad win be put. If the people authorise the pur chase of a new site when the matter U referred to a vote, they propose to build only enough to care for the overflow from the present building, and not to build at all if any house on the ground purchased can be fitted up at small cost to answer the pur pose until tbe old building and site can be sold. The matter will be referred to the people as soon as one or more offers for a double block or for two blocks are received, but offers of two blocks should be for those contiguous to each other. It is proposed to submit tbe matter to tbe people In such a way that they can express tbelr preference for the purchase of only one block or two, or for bo purchase at all, and their pret erence for one of tbe altes proposed.
