Day's Doings at the
Big Store
Fourth and KUinalli
This morning after we had got
all our little chores done up, there
was a very pleasant old lady called
ut the Big Store to see about some
rocking chairs. We have a good
many different kinds of rockers,
ao we started in and gave her
prices on quite a lot of tbom. One
mahogany wood seat rocker for
fC.50, one solid oak, genuine
leather upholstered seat and back
for 117.60, one solid oak, genuine
Spanish leather auto seat tor fit,
one solid oak with genuine Span
ish leather cushions, $14. DO, .
Then we gave her a price on a
very fine one, $30.00, She looked
a little queer and didn't breathe
for a whllo, but she soon revived,
and aftor we told her what they
we're made of and how tbey were
made, and what it cost to make
them, she thought tbe price wasn't
so bad after all, So she bought a
genuine leather slip seat solid oak
rocker for 17.60, The balaaee ot
the day we devoted to straighten
ing up and getting ready for the
rush Monday.
