wed Lieutenant Hunter, an officer on
tho Arkansas, Admiral Badger's flag

Lieutenant Hunter came to the con

Chicago, 195 In St. Louis, from 40 to

The appointment by the president
of Terrell to be a municipal Judge
promises to bring on as warm a little
fight as the senate has seen In some
time. Senators John Sharp Williams
and James K. Vardamann of Missis
sippi, Hoke Smith of Georgia and
Ellison of South Carolina have boast
ed that the senate will never confirm
Terrell. All of the Southern senators
will support them.
