TO MV, Al'HIl, 7, U THE EVENING HERALD. KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON M IWJR j FORD FAMILY FLOURISHING The enormous number of FORD owner it due to the fact the people who buy cars use good sense and judgment before making their decision. They not only figure the price of the car, but they figure on the cost of repairs, the expense of running, the likelihood of finding a garage carrying acces sories in every hamlet and village over the country, the sim plicity of control, the safety of the car, the land of country over which the car is to run, and the durability of the car. Consider these points in Klamath County, and the sensible answer is a FORD. We sold an even dozen FORDS during the month of March. There must surely be a reason. There are many who believe the plucky London girl will succeed. Since she leaped In the llmellcht sev en years ago by defeating twenty-five of thirty-four rivals ot the sterner sex In a fifteen mile race In the Thames, she has placed to her credit a number of remarkablo perform ances, which show her to bo well qualified for the task before her. In 1910 she swam twenty miles of rough water In six hours and thirty- f j ire minutes off Dover, and later vis ited France, where she won a big race In the Seine, leading home eigh teen of tho best men swimmers. The following year she tried to make the double trip between South sea and the Isle of Wight, twelve" miles each way, but was Injured In returning, and had to leave the water after covering seventeen miles. Finally, In 1912, she tackled the channel, starting from Dover, but seasickness overtook her before she bad negotiated quite twenty miles, and forced her to abandon the task. Miss Smith will train for the com ing attempt under Walter Brickott, the well known expert, mad bo feels confident that, given good conditions, his pretty pupil will cast Into shadow the achievements of her hardy prede cessors over the classic course. lull Magnalra tUrd.
