How Times Change
J. S. Howard, father of Medford,
ait on a box in front ot tho Economy
Meat Market, and watched with rem
iniscent eyes the first trolley In Jack
son county. Ho will ride on the first
trip. "Thirty years ago I cooked
beans on the spot where that car now
stands," said the pioneer. "Then I

Jewish Women Praised
Judge Kaanaugh ot Chicago says
the women ot the Jewish race deserve
more credit than the men tor keeping
the race clean and pure and without
stain. The chief benefit of the Jew to
the country, he said, is fidelity to
ideals, and one ot these Ideals Is the
home. Divorces are rare, he said,
among Jealsh people, and It Is Jewish
womanhood that, prevents dlvorce'and
makes tho home perfect.
