Many very queer and unique gamea were played, and the partici pant derived much enjoyment and amassment from theee. Among the gamea that were played waa one In wklek each member waa auppoaed to writ a telegram, with the Initiate ot hla given name, and thla telegram waa not to be longer than ten worda in length. When they were read It waa rather comical to hear eome of the eipreeskma that were entangled In thla way. Many other familiar pleas ure tedalgeaeee were participated In by the fan maker. At the eonelu alea of the gamea and Joke the gaeota were preralled upon to deacend to the haaeaent, and there partake ot the light refreahmeata that were awsRIng them. On the whole the and everroae entered himself verr ' heartily. A moat delightful affair waa glvsa thla afternoon when about two ecor tadlea were entertained at the White Pelican Hotel. The hoateaaea were Mm. C. F. Stone, Mr. W. O. Smith, Mm. C. H. Underwood and Mr. Don J. Zumwalt. Eleven table ware ar ranged In the lobby, where "500" waa played. Tea waa aerred In the dining room at S o'clock,, the table being decorated with Jonquil and vlo- leta, and the color acheme carried out In the place carde. Thla affair proved to be one ot the prominent social entertain ments of the staton, and from the large gathering present It looked very favorable that the effort of the com mittee who handled the affair were not In vain.
