Peak have platted another addition
to Klamath Palls, which Is to be
known as Irvlngton Heights, it id
Joins Knob Hill addition, and consists
of forty ncres. which Is divided Into
blocks and lots of the usual site. Th
streets and alleys arc extensions nf
those In the Knob Hill addition.
Mr. and Mrs, Peak and Mr. Ilogfi
came here a short time ago, the form
er from Southern Nevada and the let
ter from Portland. They expect to
leave for their home Friday evening.
In speaking or Klamath Palls, Mr.
Peak stated:
"Wherever we have gone we bavu
heard no place more talked of than
Klamath Falls. We came here to fee

belief we purchased the forty acres

havoc with the lakeside Inn stove
pipe. Tho wind Mat the water In the

ney and packed It nt the bottom.
When the cooks tried to start tho Hie
this morning they found the stove
would not draw, and by the tlmo they
discovered what was the matter It
wns so late (hat the guests had to K'
without a warm breakfast. It was

clean It, and II wns not until 9 o'clock
that the stove wns In proper condi
tion again.

Mrs. Brown Is the daughter of ex-Indian
Agent Mathews, who had charge
of the Klamaths for four cars. She
has a number of old friends In tho
city who were surprised and delight
cd with her visit.
W. E. Conner arrhed here last eve
ning from Ashland, whero he owns
the Hotel Oregon, one of Southern
Oregon's famous hostlerles. Mr. Con
nor was manager of the stage lino
that operated between this city and
Pokegama In the good old days when
visitors to Klamath Falls had to
"stage It" for thlrty-slx miles. He Is
still the same genial old Walter who
used to make the traveler forget hi
troubles by the cordial greeting h
gave him at the end of his Journey,
and the geniality then cultivated
stands him In good stead now,- when
