man skeleton wss found yestcrda) In
the woods two miles catt ot this
place. There was no flcih on the
bonea. The skull was fifty feet from
the main part of the skeleton. "
A complete outfit of clothing was
near tho skeleton. The character of
the raiment Indicated that the man
was well dressed. Nothing was found
In tho pockets by which the dead
could be Identified.
Wads of green paper were found In
one ot the Test pockets. Dr. Legge,
who made the examination, thinks
these wads were rolls ot greenbacks.
Ho was afraid to try to unroll them
lest he destroy the'raluable paper.
They will be sent to the subtrcasury
In San Francisco, where It Is expected
some expert will be able to unroll
the green rolls and determine the
value of the greenbacks. If such the
paper proves to be.

Dr. Alex. Patterson arrived home
from San Francisco last Friday night,
having left his wife and children at
the home ot Mrs. Patterson's mother
In that city. Mrs. Patterson will re
main with her mother for some time
longer before returning home, as the
latter lady Is quite seriously 111 and
requires tbe loving care and atten
tion ot her daughter.

yet the little giant has the capacity

Into a meal that Is said to be much
more economical In feeding than the
hay, the loss being onl) 1 per cent to
10 per cent for the unground hay.
The meal only occupies a very small
space. It being possible to put 100
pounds Into an ordinary grain sack
under pressure. The business of
making this meal has grown to great
proportions In some parte ot the
roast, and It Is now being shipped to
all parts of the country. People liv
ing In towns, especially, buy It more
readily than they do baled hay on
account of the much less space It oc
cupies and the greater saving In feed
ing It. It Is a safe prediction that
Mr. Wilson's venture will prove a
success, and that this' Is but the first
of many such machines that will be
Installed In the alfalfa belt.
