Tull of Medford was appoint ed county stock inspector for the year ending Juiy 1 1905. Regarding The Gold Hill Light and Power Company. E. L. Gurnie, who is to have charge of the electric station for the Gold Hill De velopment Company at Gold Hill, was in Jacksonville Thursday in the interest of his company in regard to receiving from the town a light and power contract. Mr. Gurnie stated that Manager Schaeffer is to return the last of this week from Milwaukee, where he has been toconsult with his company and to place the order for the machinery for the big electric station to be put in above Gold Hill on Rogue river. A 500 horsepower wheel and generator were ordered for im mediate shipment and will be temporar ily installed at the Houck mill to supply current on contracts that require iru- mediate service.
