SENTINEL JACKSONVILLE Vol. 2 Jacksonville, Jackson County, Oregon, Friday, June 3, 1904. Republican Ticket. Election Monday, June 6, 1904. Joe A. Thomaa, of Medford, one of the Socialists candidates for representative, addressed a meeting at the court house Saturday evening in the interests of his party. Owing to a lack of advertising and a lack of interest in Socialism the attendance was small, there being onlv ala>ut forty jx-rxons jrresent. Mr. Thomas is a ready speaker, full to over flowing with enthusiasm for his party ami he made a good showing for the principles he is advocating, but it is not likely that he made many converts, for Socialism has too many radical, imprac tical features to meet the approval of the average American. Mr. Thomas frankly states that he does not expect to l>e elected but is making the campaign for principle and not for glory or profit. For Circuit Judge First Judicial District Candidates H. K.
