Sheriff Rader has been away since last Friday assisting his brother John Rider in bringing their stock cattle in from the Dead Indian range. They will place their cattle ill pastures near Tolo. They brought in their l»eef cattle two weeks ago and put them in a pasture near Central point. It is very few times in the liistorv of this Valley that range cattle have had to be brought in so early. Us ually feed is good on the ranges until alxiut the first of Novetnlier and often later than that. The excessively dry season is the cause of the feed failing so early this fall. It is making a serious exjx nsi to many stockmen to begin feed ing so early. J. A.
