Smith, a secretary of the commute on Militarism in Flducation, testified against the military appropria tions for the R. O. T. C. the follow ing week, three bills were introduced in the house and one bill in the sen ate. withdrawing war department sup port from all training in secondary schoola and from all compulsory mili tary courses.
