New Church Club Formed

A group of the younger members of
Ml. Olivet Baptist church met Tues
day, January 27, at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence K. Ivey, 94<> Tib
betts Street and organized a club
known as "The Get Acquainted Club,"
auxiliary to the church. The plans
were well carried out and all present
expressed themselves a* being in ac
cord with the object and purpose of
the club which is to work in harmony
with the church in giving social and
oilier entertainments to help the build
ing fund. Each member pledged to
bring another new member each week
The club will meet at the residence of
Mr. and Mrs. Ivey, every Tuesday
evening The following officers were
elected: Clarence E. Ivey, president;
Mrs. Mabel Cooper, vice-president;

be even more acute in the Senate.

not ask you to come to Washington,
because it would be purely a waste of
your valuable time.
