A. H Burton has announced his candidacy for the republican nomina tion for State Senator from the 13th district Mr. Burton cites his past record for economy as a recommen dation. He believes in strict prohlbl- ton enforcement and no retroactive statutes; better game protection. Mr. Burton is a teacher in the Washing ton high school. George L. Baker, who is making a whirlwind campaign for the republi can nomination for United States sen ator, looks as though he is going to make the field run their heads off to beat him. Sheriff Tom Hurlburt, from present indications, looks as though he will be a sura winner. Ed Gloss has announced that he would like to bold on to the office of constable, but he has got to go some to beat his several opponents. Mrs. C. B. Senator McNary and his campaign managers have not so tar begun an active campaign. However, it being only a few days before the primaries, it is expected they will start some thing pretty soon.
