J I' 4 COMMISSION FIXES TAXESJf STATE Lake County This Year Will Pay Nearly 810,000 To State. . According to sn officisl ststement I jost issued by tbe Stste Tax Commls- lion, tbe total tax levied for ail pnr- poses for the yesr 1913 is Just $1,111, 805.79 less thsn that levied for the year 1912, the levy for this yesr being tl8.13M33.23, and tbst for 1912 wsa $19,241,244.07. Tbe state tax paid by the counties is $1,941,601.27 less this yesr tbsn last, the tax for this yesr being fi, 122.214. 49. snd tbs t for last year wag $3,063, 815.75. The valuation for last year was $860,644,164.55. and that for this year is $905,011,679. The reason the levy is so much lower for this year is that the levy of .1912 included tbe appropriations made by she legislative session of 1911. Tbe levy for this yesr wss made prior to tbe meeting of the legislature and does not include the appropriations. Next year's levy will include them, and tbe levy will then be considerably higher tban this yesr. . In tbe table prepared by the com mission showing the valuation for tbe levy of this year, shows Lake County aa follows: Total value taxable prop erty, $87,369,82: amount of taxes levied, $93,722.85: amount state tax paid by the coonty, $9,268.50.
