LaUevlew, Oregon, Thursday, August 15, MAKK CITY It it gratifying UEAVTIFI'Ij to ice o citiie- adopt the City Beautiful move ince th last appeal in the Examiner to the people to alaah the noxious weeds. However, it is not time to quit yet as there are still too manv weeds left. Daring the meeting of the Central Oreson Development League Lakeview will be host to one of the largest dele gations that has ever been her lot to entertain. Advertising means results. Now is the rpportune time to advertise by cJesning op your porpertv and putt ing everything in the mont presentable ahape. Every remote section of the town will be inspected by the visitors and their judgment of its citizens will be based opon the appearance of their residences and surrounding conditions. Bullard street, the main avenue to the base ball park, and one that will be traversed by hundreds of people dur ing the bail tournament is in a very unpresentable condition. This is main ly rendered unattractive by the growth of weeds that have been allow ed to stand on either side of the street. Seems that it would be a timely sug gestion to ask the city council to look into this circumstance, a? well as the weeds that are left standing along the sidewalks in some of the more prom inent parts of town and to urge proper ty owners to bave them oestriujed. Bullard street Is also in bad condition for automobiles. This too could be rreatly improved by a ilttle work judi ciously applied. We have been advertising for oeople to come to Lakeview to attend this meetirg. And they are guirg to come. Now it remains the duty of the citizens to adopt every method to improve the conditions and add to the attraction of the town. The pontic is very bard to please and these visitors after go ing aw ay are going tn tell outside peo ple just what they found here, so it is op to us to make- everything iust as pleasir g as possible. It will not only! be tt poblic gonri hot a private benefit. - avMBaaaaaaaMaaaaaai $5,000 School District I No. 7 Building: Bonds: Sealed proposals will be received by the undersigned County Treasurer of Lake County, Oregon, until Oct. 2nd, 1912, at the hour ot two o'clock in the afternoon of saia day, at which said date and hour at the office of the said Counfy Treasurer in the town of Lakeview, Oregon, all proposals to purchase said oonds will be opened and J considered for the purchase of 000 j coupon building boods of said School , district or any part thereof to be itsu nohck ok contest i lT('(iruui'lll Wi UV J u m i f v. a 1 va --j , vrt.i I Ann f imp.
