It is necessary to permit the grain to ret ripe in order that it may now the natural color of maturity. Grain which is selected before it ia ripe never loses the ereenish cast and never makes an attractive exhibit. It ia of equal importance that the grain be not allowed to become too ripe so tbat it shells out in selecting and ship ping. We will arrange for the free handl ing of all exhibition material intended for Great Northern Railway Exhibita. Do not ship exhibits on without first writing this office sod advising what ia to be shipped and we will then ar range to have the local Great Northern Railway agent authorized to accept such shipments and forward without expense. O ISO SUBSCRIBE FOR THE EXAMINER Blasts Booming (I!igh Grade News) The big Modoc mine, is now becoming one of the big centers of attraction in Camp High Grade. A force of men are working two shifts sinking the shaft. The vein is one of the largest and best defined in the district. Fully three feet between smooth walls, the entire vein tilling mineralized, with handsome high grade streak that proves the intrinsic merit of the property. The big boiler arrived at the N.-C-0. depot this week and is now enroute to the mine via New Fine Creek can yen. The entire plant will be in stalled as rapidly as human ingenuity and skill can accomplish that end. The plant consists of boiler, engine, boist and compressor and drills, of the latest patterns.
