Instructions as to tho cultivation
of asters are to be issued and sent to
the children. Astoria, according to the
park commissioner, intends to make
a specialty of raising these flowers,
and la confident of carrying away the
banner prizes.
Alturas New Era: The Alturus Con
cert Hand, under the management of
K. L. Sloss and direction of Chai. E.
Rice, wil give a Grand Muslcale some
time in April. A variation of music
will be suoplied by band, orchestra and
local talent of Alturas. combined with
a two act farce, and free dance lasting
until midnight, will constitute the pro
gram. Tho proceeds will be for a set
of new and UD-to-dato uniforms for the '
twenty piece band.
