Dakota has been entered Into with
Idaho, and negotiations with other
States are oending. The consolidation
of areas Into compact bodies will en
able both the States and the Foreat
Service to manage their reaueciive
holdings more advantaireuualv than
would otherwise be possible, and will
enable the State to obtain better re
turns for the benefit of Its schools.
Under the terms of the proclamation
all selections bv the Mate of South
Dukota muat be filed within ninety davs
from the dato of the proclamation or
from the aoproval of the official plat
of survev of any unaurveved land rev
