New Pino Creek Items Accounts Adjusted H. & Adlestein. adjuster of tbe San Frsncisco Board of Trade, who was appointed receiver of the Chewaucan Mercantile Company a stock at Paisley this week settled uo the accounts In a satisfactory manner to tbe creditors and departed for bis home in Frisco, End Miller, who has been assisting Mr. Adlestein. accompanied him to Lakeview. The company ia practically controlled bv tbe original stockholders and it ia said to be stronger that it was nor to Mr. Aldestein'a adjustment. Mr. Miller has taken an interest in the company and will act as manager tn tbe future. He ia well known in Lakeview where waa at one time poet master, besides having been employed in tbe mercantile establishments and is a man thoroughly worthy and capable of tbe position. He re turned this week to tske charge. Oregon Trunk Coming Bend Bulletin: Tbe Oregon Trunk Railway has filed for record with tbe county clerk at Prineville deeds for right of wav and depot grounds in I Pine. 30 miles south of here. When the purchase was msde is not known here, but it is presumed that it was a recent transaction. Tbe right of wav ia a 100-foot atrip across tbe north half of the northwest quarter and the southwest auarter of the northwest quarter of section 14. township 22 south, range 10 east. AIM a town lot and other property were in cluded in tbe purchase, which was made from the La Pine Townsite Company. This acauiring of property south of here is taken in Bend as an indication Miat the railway will begin construc tion of the line south of here at no very distant date.
