This is not true of Oregon soil any more than the soil of any other state. To find the amount of water necessary to atld to each three gallons of stock solution for a given p ercentuge. one should divide that percentage into two hundred and sub tract three from tho result. The Court held that Alaska is a territory of the United of the country, had States within the meaning of the Ac t of Congress regulating com...erce. The writ was issued in the case of the Humbolt Steamship Company, of Seattle, whose petition for an order re quiring the railways of Alaska to file schedules or rates had been denied by the commission. The Court held that the Commission erred when it declin ed to entertain the petition. Dr. Amsden was at Lakeview at the time of the accident, and hastily answered a telephono call. The Auto Line The Clapp-Southstone automobile line between Lakeview and Klamath Falls has been making daiiy trips be tween the two places for the past two weeks and these two gentlemen are giving the best of service. W. L. Clapp makea tne run from Klamath Falls to Bly where he is met by Morris Southstone of this place. These gentle men are considered by everyone to be the beBt drivers in their class as they are careful as well as skillful.
