Juno 1st Dato Fixed For First Tarln Into Goose Lake Valloy "The Quality Store" 3 D D Geo. S. Oliver, chief engineer of the N.-C.-O. Uy., whs in Lakeview yester day, and to hii Kxatniner representative made the statement thut regular train service into Goose Lake Viilloy would be established June I. The ntation will be at tlio fin I of the canyon about six mi lost from Davis Creek. Imt it H expected that the terminus will ho at the latter place early in August. That the N.-C.-O. will ho huilt along the east side of the lake is u foregone conclusion, the right of way to the state line with a very few exceptions having heen secured. Mr. Oliver anti cipates no trouble in securing a right of way through to Lakeview, although at n meeting of the Hoard of Trade yesterday afternoon he intimateil that lakeview would he e xectcd to secure the same from the Funk place up to ami through the city limits, as well as furnishing suitable ilet grounds. It is likely that the Hoard of Trade will take the matter up in the immed iate future and ascertain just what is expected of lakeview in the matter, so that it will have a definite prohibi tion to work on.
