seek ion some answer to the problem
of what comes ifter death.
It is only withiu the last few years,
or 6ince the question has been attack
ed in a scientific way, that the prob
lem has ever appotacbed a solution
Investigation made along scientific
lines by men of acknowledged scien
tific attainments has proved to their
satisfaction that no so-called dead
have never died, and that the fact of
a further existence, outside of w hat is
called revealed sources is demon
strated. The Delineator, of late has been
publishing a series of articles beating
on this topic'of life after Ihe ctmange
called death. Eminent men and
women have siren the result ot their
investigations through the medium of
this popular magazine. In the Nov
ember number is n 'example, Alfred
Russel Wallace says. "The only satis
factory answer to the momuentous
question: Are the dead alive? must
be founded upon facts. During the
last sixty years evidence baa been
accumulating in every part of the
world which affords demonstration
that the so-alle i dead have never j
really died, but have passed into a
new and higher state of existence.
Many of these are able to communi
cate w ith us, and most of them assure
us that when tbey wake from the
sleep we call "death' they find them
selves much more alive thau tbey
were bofore. Aud this is ouly what '
we might expect, for. we a;l feel that!
our mental faculties are to some ex- '
teut clogged and stifled by the gar- :
ment of flesh, and that only when iu :
the uiot perfect health do our higher
faculties attain their fullest express
ion. ,
The rapid entrance on a state of '
spiritual well beiug and happiness '
seems to be very general among those '
who have led ordinarily good aud
natural lives, but H by no means ;
universal. Those who have lived
selfish or sensual lives, or hve given
away to evil passions of any kind,
nave a ainereut awakening, into a
worli of darkue-s or gloom, often of
solituda for a longer or shorter period
and infiiuiely varied iu the surround
ings, according to their previou
lives, lint whatever geims of good

OF CEMENT WORK
The age of cement is the preseut.
Although cement is of a compara

Elison has invented a scheme where

The latest use to which cement can
