last week. A man named Dan Lewis,
shot a drunken Indian, inflicting a
dangerous wound. Lewis has been
in jail in Alturas for telling whiskey
to Indians. The man Joe Jones who
killed Nick Bettandorf at Alturas was
captured and bound over to tbe
a iperior court on a charge ot first
degree murder.
