J. A Rauiey, an attendant from the
asylum, arrived here from Salem Tues

Frank Neiska, who was brought here
from Christmas Lake a couple of
weeks iigo, and who was adjudged in
sane last week and committed. The
patient seemed perfectly harmless
a- d sane ou every subject but one.
He harbored the belief that some one
was going to kill him, and was bus
picious of everyone, therefore, con
sidered a dangerous person.
The Eagles held a meeting Tuesday
evening and decided to take charge of
the celebration on the Fourth of July.
A committee composed cf Lee Beall,
C. C. Price and Goe. II. Ayres was
appointed to solicit from the buieness
mej money to defray the expenses.
It seems to be generally satisfactory
that the Eagles conduct the celebra
tion. A little later on, -when plan
have been completed, readers of The
Examiner will be given full details.
A. F. Fitzpatrick, O. F. Griffith
and Jas. Wakefield, of the ZX ranch
are down from Chewaucan. The boys
say most of the ZX cattle have been
turned out, and the remainder will be
put ou the range in a few days.
Miss Iva Thruston and Miss Ruby
Briles came up from Davis Creek
last Friday. Miss Briles returned
home Saturday, while Miss Thruston
remained in LaKeview for a visit with
her relatives.
