Frank Stanley was up town last Sat
urday from tbe ranch. Mr. Stanley
is tbe only goat raiser in tbis county,
be having a band of over 1000 head.
We learn that Mrs. C. B. Parker,
of Adel, while opening a fruit can,
cut her band quite severely, an artery
was cut, and for a while it was feared
she would bleed to death. 1
C. D. Arthur went to Burnes this
week after tbe team driven away from
here by Peter Miller, who was arrested
at Burnes for an offense charged a-
gainst bim before be came to Lake-
view.
Mr. -T. W. McAtfee, of San Fran-
cisco, came over from Cedarville Tues
day to figure on tbe building of tbe
court house. Mr. McAffee is super
intending the construction of tbe

road to tap this section and either

gou Short Line surveyed tbough Lake
view last Summer, or the extension of
the N. C. O., and Its being broad
gauged to meet the demands of this
