permitted us to have a candidate with
out opposition, to put the best possi
ble material before our neighbors for
their support ; a mau iu whom evey
intrerest of the district could safely
be trusted, and a man who we felt
sure would make good iu every way.

The Examiner last week finished
up a neat job of Souvenir cards for
the Union School, in the shape of
folders, with gold lettering on the
first cover page, the inside pages
contaiuing the name of the district,
name of teacher, superintendent, and
school board aud the names of the
pupils attending the school, which is
thrity. The folder was made of the
very best of liueu cover, with ledger
paper inserts, aud tied with neat silk
tassels. Miss Grady is to be congratu
lated upon her progr.jssiveuesa iu pre
senting her pupils with souvenirs of
this character.
