new law governing examination of ap
pllcauts for state certificates. The
circular follows:
W1U you kindly see that all persons
under your supervision who expect to
become applicants for state certificates
or diplomas folly understand tbe fol
lowing. 1. State Certificates Applicants
must take examination In three suc
cessive examinations on tbe 19 sub
jects specified in subdivision 6, sec
tion C, School Laws of Oregon, one of
which is English literature.
2. State Diplomas Applicant mnat
pass au examination on botony, plane
geometry and general history, which
may be taken at any one examination
duriog the life of bia state certificate.
