Well, if the Republican party ran Iks disrupt ed by tho enforcement of law for rich and roor alike, it ought to bo dis rupted. When a poor man must serve his term in prison for stealing ten dollars and the trust magnate go en tirely unpunished though he steals millions, something needs disrupting. Roosevelt purposes to establish an era of equality, iu which all mou shall stand upon the Mine footing before the law, and if the plutocrats do not like it they cau get out of the party. The party that nominated and elected Roosevelt is made ur chiefly of hon est men, not of plutocrats, and wheu the party has been disrupted and all the anti-Roosevelt men have pone over to the Democracy, there will le enough Republicans left to elect a Re publican President. Oregon ian. A boy came iuto The Examiner office one day last week and asked for a left-handed monkey wrench for a certain party here in town. The office force was to bu.-y to explain that he was on a phautoni errand, and sent him away. Presently he came back and asked for our quad splitter. There is no such a thing about a print stop, but boys are f requently 6eut to borrow one with the result that he is either loaded down with scrap iron to lug about town or sent running from place to place in search of the article, and never finds it. A boy who goes on these errands scarcely bites the second time, and while he is furnish ing amusement for some older lads who, no doubt, have been through the mills, is learning the ways of the world ,with the consolation that some day he may play even ou some of the coming generation. Klam ath Fails was represented by letter only. The reports from the various points of the Held shows a very prom ising outlook frr our Rapt ist cause. Our meotii.gs were well attended at every service. A revival spirit was with us from the beginning. We had the very best attendance and re spect shown to us from every one. Elder II. Smith was chosen Mod. to succeed himself and presided over tho body during its session. Rro. T. R. Vernon was elected clerk. Arran gements weie made to secure Elder C. P. Reports from tho churches show a condition of growth, especial ly the first church of Ooose Iake and the Lakeviow church, from which were reported .rx) baptisms during the year Everything seems to indicate the dawn of a forward move in relig ious work. The next session will be held with the Lake City church of Surprise Valley, Thurdsay, before the 2d Sunday iu June, 1107 nud we can only hope their session will to of the same nature as ours, viz: Bles sed of God and honored of meu. When they modify their belief to the spirit idea, their fanatical delulsions will undoubtedly produce the longed for spirit. One of the best times that Lakeview ever showed its visitors has been had this week. The exercises wera of a feature new and amusing to all the spectators, and nothing 6eemed tire some to the crowd. Hobos Coming North. The N. C. O. hns lcon employing quite a number of men ou Its exten sion and now that meu are scarce, the problem is not easy of solution. When men are employed at Reno, they with their effects, are given tran sportation to Madeline. Such a man's belongings usually consists of a pipe with tho strength of Hercules, a plug of ancient tobacco, and a small roll of blankets. This is where the tramp shines by imitation. He comes, he sees, and Is quick to grasp tho oppor tunity to bum a ride. Ho gathers up a few old barley sacks and rolls and wraps them in a small piece of canvas so as to resemble a bed. With this junk swung onto his back ho apMars at the employment agency at Reuo and asks for work at Madeline. To his delight ho is olfered the work and given a pass over the road. Ho rides in a car jeweled with n number of other gin soaked, tobacco-seasoned, blossom-nosed, members of the fra ternity; anil ho rejoiceth exceedingly. I'pon arriving at Madeline ho throws his bunch of burlap at tho depot and strikes out to bum some grub, with never a thought of working for the railroad, as he agreed. From reports wo learn that quite a number of such rolls of mock tedding now grace the depot grounds at Mad eline, aud that a largo number of such adventurers are in the vicinity, while a number of them are drifting this way.
