Several an apolocy for what it is to W, but. ; thousand persons recistered Thursday, as stated in its columns, the paper for ! Fridav and Saturdav aud preat the regular issue in full size failed to reach there ip time, probably owinc to difficulties experienced by all San Francisco firms to promptly fill orders since the earthquake and fire. This week, however, we expect to see the paper come out in 8-pace form Though a small paper, bein only columns, it is sufficient to meet tbe present demands of the place, aud we presume as the town prows and the publisher's experience widens any shortage will be supplied. Present conditions at Pine Creek suppest to us that the field is noue too larpe for the proper support of a newspaper, but we must acknowledpe that the enthusiasm shown by the business interests there is individual ly sufficient to insure a living patron age, and if the mines turn out as indi cations promise, and the town offers inducements for the establishment of their businesses there cannot be any doubt about the wisdom of the venture. The Miner is a newsy little panel ; its advertisements are well and neatly gotten up, and it broke pround with a sensible and promising salutatory, in which is advocated principles and a policy, if adhered to and carried out by the publisher, is ceitaiu to make the paper an important part of the town of New Pine Creek. crowds are looked for apitin next week. Rep'stration will continue un til June 'th and probably -Jo.tMi people will come to liilliups for that purpose during the la.t week. The Klamath TalJs papers protests vigoursly the charges made that small pox exists, in Klamath Tails. They make a big roar about new spapers ' epreauing ine news, hut neither of the papers of that town charges the other with any part of the "crime." There has been little said about the matter over this way, Liiko county people having absolute faith in the Klamath Tails health officials to stamp out tho disease in tho shortest pos sible time and allow the least possible spread, which it seems they have done, aa soon as tho matter was brught to their knowledge. The Klam-1 ath Falls papers will learn tome day that it is much better to suppress the disease than the report of its exist-auco. rodeos at Wm. Carter's this week.
