Alxmt four weeks ago Mr. Sloau, who has a ranch near Adel, iu Warner valley, wua thought to bo in sane by his neighbors, as he attempt ed suicide once, and was trying to give his property away to any one with whom he talked. The authorities in Lakeview were notified by tele plwme, aud tho people of AdoL were requested to bring the man to Lake view. The roads across the mountain at that time wre impassable, so J. M. Uaudley and Andy Morris brought the patient to Lakeview by the cir cuitous route Plush uiul Abert Luke,, a distance of about l'J5 miles. The trip was a. sovere one ou the sick mau, ami whau he arrived here ho was in a bad shape. Dr. Patters! a, the county physician, attended Mr. Sloan aud endeavored to restore biiu to health without sending him to the asylum.
