Electrical experts are at work
upon an "xtremcly novel feature for
the opeulng exercises of the Lewis
and Clark Centennial Exposition on
June 1, next. The scheme Is to have
President Jtoosevelt, at Washington
touch a few keys and set lu motloL
the chimes in the towers of the Gov
ernment Xtulldlng at the Exposition,
The chimes, 300 feet above the water
will play "My Country 'Tis of Thee."
The sound will carry a great dis
tance owlug to the fact that the
Government liulldlug is located on a
Hulusula in Guild's Lake, half uimlle
from the mainland. Arrangemeuts
have already been made to have
President Koosevelt touch a button
that will set in motion the machinery
for the Western World's Fair, aud It
Is thought there will be no difficulty
In arranging for the additional
feature of the chimes.
