In looking over a new work on pronunciation it i found that some words are often wrongly pronounc- CHl. In the word eleven, the first e should Ik; Hounded. Ia the word elm jironoiinee its one not two syllables. In listen do not sound the t. In lyceiim accent the set;oiid sylla ble. In the word magnolia divide into four nyllalileH and not pronounce it on if there were three. Say pump-kin not punk-in. In the word brigaud accent the first nyllable. In the word bustle don't sound the t. In the word deficit accent the first syllable. When you pronounce damning don't forget to sound the n in the second syllable. Thus not dam-ing evidence, but dum-ning evidence. When you say exhale call it eg. hal not eks-hal. Make inertia in four syllables in pronouncing. Iion't say epizoot ic but ep-i-y.o-ot-ik for the word epizootic. That is making five instead of four syllables when you pronounce the word. Buck Pasture. J have a line buck pasture for rent, located on Twelve Mile Creek, on the Hid well-Warner road. Plenty of good feed, water and shade. Ad dress. '. J. liimriiKv l.Vl't Ft IHdwell, Cal.
