A Charitable Act.
Last Monday a poor family con
sisting of father, mother and live

The Warner Land Decision.
The decision of Secretary of the
Interior Hitchcock in tin? Warner
land cases was received at the Lake
view Land Office, Tuesday of this
week. It covers I'l pages of type
written matter, ami is too voluinn
ious to le published so near our
press day. However, The Examiner
will publish it in full next week.
The decision Is practically as given
in the dispatches last week
decision says In part:
"The agricultural tiamnnts pro
duci'd no evidence as to the condi
tion of the land at or about the date
of the grant, but relied upon testi
moiiy formerly addressed by the
swamp land claimants, where the
contention was as to the dry or the
wet or submerged condition of the
land at the time of the grant."
"The evidence established that
the lauds in controversy at the date
of the grant was not tint ltedofalakc
or apparently jieriuauent hotly of
water, but were swamp land, sub
ject at times to le entirely over
flowed, and at all times were thereby
rendered unfit for cultivation."

Papoose Cremated.
Dr. Sam pitched his leppee about
a mile south of town and has been
enjoying himself this winter. Last
Wednesday, he his and two mahalas
were away ami in the tepee was left
a small child. The tepee caught lire
and everything was burned, child,

small purse was raised in town for
