For all the years the army ban been in

before her and casts her lot with the
soldiers of Christ who go out into the
highways and byways to bring the fall
en back into grace.
This new recruit up to a few days ayo
was em doped as a bookkeeper by a Bev
erly concern, but now she has forsaken
the pages of figures and the nerve-rucking
problem of a trial balance for that of
the instruments and appeals to the Hal-vationists.
Miss Johnson's parents do not like
her decision, and her minister, Sunday
school teacher and friends have tried to
prevail upon the girl to leave the army,
but she would sacrifice everything for
the sake of saving souls.
Nellie Johnson is right, i-die has the
brains, probably, to get along in the
world without dictation. Her heart is
doubtless in her new life, arid the call
ing is an admirable one, arid not one to
be despised. She has the Ood given
rigid to choose her ow n calling in Life's
pathway, and may (iod he with her in
her work.
