The end of thiA young life wasunex

awoke to go at mum its apMinted toil, he
cIosh his eyes on all this cxistcm? had
tiiveii or withheld from him, ami sunk
into the deep slumtsr of death as peace
fully and naturally as a babe falls asleep
on the loving hrcat of its mother.
He was just recovering from an at
tack ol the urn in and was not thought
to b seriously ill nor was he until a
few hours before death. He U-came
suddenly ill on the afternoon preceding
his death, and complained that his head
hurt him. As the hours glided on
toward another day the little patient i
would only complain of bis head, ami

Newt" was an uncommonly bright
boy and a closo (tu.lent. He had studied
hard over his part of the debate, to I
held at the closing day of the school,
Usn the hubject of "Naisdeon," and
had mastered a tine address for one of
his years. The day Itetorc hisdeuthhe
recited the addrers liefore his parents,
and asked them to criticise and tell him
where the faulty parts were. Next
morning he went I -Wore his Maker to
deliver it.
It has never before Is-en the writer's
experience to witness such universal
sorrow ami lament over the death of a
child. Newt. Woodeisk was loved and
