Not only are tin; fees different from those imposed heretofore, but the manner of keeping record of them also is different. They are now treated in the same manner as real es tate mortgages. The new law provides that no chattel mortgages shall be filed, but that they must Ih- recorded. In order to be in le gal form a chattel mortgage must be signed, witnessed and acknowledged the name as real estate mortgage. Record ing costs the same as real estate mort gages which is 10 cents a foUo 5 cents for each index and 25 cents for a certifi cate of the recorder. This arrangement makes more work for the recorder and gives an additional income to the county. The real estate in Ijike county, lie longing to the Frank! Co., is now on the market for sale.
