Lakeview is once more preparing to grow this summer. The town is going to begin where it felt off when the snow began to fly, and will not stop until there is not a vacant business lot in the town. That's the "sort of a feller" Lakeview is. Enterprise never halts in the grand march here. Now, if the cot tage builder would only show himself take up some of his rusty gold and in vest it in dwelling places for the people who are willing to pay him giod rents we would all rice up and call him blest. People want to live in our live town and they want houses to live in. We won der how long it will take some of our local capitalists to figure out that the building of fifty cottages for rent is the best i ii vest men t to be found in Lake county. The program of the races, to Is- held in I-akeview from the 2d lo the tith ol July, under the auspices of the Lake County Agricultural Association, will be found in this issue of The L'xamiuer. This season the purses will amount to (1,100, which will be an inducement for numerous horse men from a distance to come heie and enter their animals in the contests. Resides the four days racing there w ill be a baseball tournament for purses ag gregating 2M), which will no doubt bring several outside teams here ou that occasion, as the conditions a e that two or more teams must enter from outside of Goose Lake valley. g afc AM1CK GENIiRAL MI-RCMANDIS!: NRW PINE; CRIiliK, ()RI;(1()N - Will soon have on an elegant stock of everything in the line.
