,t A Word to tha Kmployaa ol Woolgraw. ,,)

I tadieve the time ia opportune for a
word with the employes of thofttockmcn
of Lake county, jnt prior to tho import
ant election to he held next Tuegday.
It ia of cHpecinl importance to every em
ploye of tho Hheepmen of thin country.
Election day hringx with it nn opportu
nity for every herder, camp-tender and
foreman, who can )oNHilily get to the
K)1Ih, to utrike a blow in the In to rem of
his employer.
We can all remember well, for it has
not, been InnR ago, when the woolgrow
ers of thia country were bo hard prened
for money that when the employe would
ak them for a few dollars on account
they were compelled to either put him
off with proiniHUH or go to town and try
to Inirrow the money. That was under
tho free trade administration of Orover
Cleveland, when wool wax not worth the
(out of shearing, and sheep could bo
bought for Heventy-five cents and a dol
lar. We all know what a change took
place when William McKlnley got liia
Protective Tariff in working ordor, and
the American wool was proteoted against
tho foreign fiber. We all know how it
Is to-day under the Protective Tariff.
When we ak .the boss for money lie sits
down on a roc on the range, pulls out

then and there for our wages, and don't
' have to rt-Hort to excuses and promises
for non-payment of money justly earned

our employers are protected under
William Mckinley's administration, and
! we should vote for thier continued protec
tion next Tuesday. I-etcery man Jack
of us, who can get to the polls next
Tuesday, go there and put in a vote for
the men who protect the sheep industry,
thereby protecting ourselves no matter
whether we are Democrats, Populists,
Silver Republicans or Republicans. And
this advice might well be followed by
every employe of the cattlemen of Lake
county as well, for their employers are
certainly wetting big pri'es for their
cattle under a Republican administra
tion, compared with the prices that
ruled under tho last Democratic admin
istration. lA't us all vote for McKinley and
Roosevelt and continued prosjHirity.

The groom is an energetic and pros

A False Report.
A report has been in circulation to the
effect that parties going to the Cotton

wood mill for all purposes. During the
rush for lumber, after the fire, of course,
some people were compelled to wait for
their orders, as the rule at the mill is
