Mr. Fred S.Fisher were joined in holy
wedlock ia the presence of only rela
tives, and a very few intimate friends o!
the bride. Hev. II. Holloman of the
Baptist -Church officiated at the wed
ding. The affair will no doubt be a Bur
prine to many who know the happy
couple.
The bride is the second daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William P. Hereford, and
is a popular voung woman and a general
favorite in Lakeview. Not only that,
but she is one of Oregon's fairest tiow
ers, skilled in home duties, and just a
model wife for a goexl man.
The groom is an energetic and pros
perous young stockman -of Summer
Lake, the only son of Air. and Mrs. A. 11.
Fisher. He, too, is popular, and has a
large circle of friends, who will wish
him and his handsome bride a long life
of happiness.
After the ceremony those present en
enjoyed a splendid wedding supper at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Harris,
as several members of the bride's family
are ill, and the affair could not conve

A False Report.
A report has been in circulation to the
effect that parties going to the Cotton
wood sawmill after lumber were disap
pointed and were compelled to return
empty. This is stamped by F. E. Rus
sell as a malicious falsehood, and the
party who circulated the same knew it
was untrue when he stated it. There ia
au abundance of lumber at the Cotton
wood mill for all purposes. During the
rush for lumber, after the fire, of course,
some people were compelled to wait for
their orders, as the rule at the mill is
first come, first served. But the report
