H &ahs County GBxamtnrc LAKEY1EU, ORISON. BKPT. IS, I9M The Work of a Kleptomaniac. On Tuesday evening, September 4th, John Keesee, a young man 17 years of age, broke into Clopton's store and the postoffice at Bonanza and appropriated some clothing from the store and a small sum of money from the postoffice, says the Klamath Republican. From thence he went to the residence occupied by Alex Bradburn, the family being then absent, and stole about $45, which was afterwards recovered. He also set fire to the house, which was totally con sumed, together with all its contents. The building was a valuable one and had no insurance. The next morning the young man confessed himself guilty of the crimes above mentioned, and is now under arrest. The house was owned by his father, II . W. Keesee. who is an honorable and upright citizen of Klamath Falls, and whose distre?s under the circumstances is exciting the deep est sympathy of the community. "We learn that for years the son has been a kleptomaniac. And the burning of his father's house is so unnatural an act that it is difficult to believe that he would have done it unless under an in sane impulse. The reorter had visited the place la tere, but found the trainer absent, on account of illness. "Hello, Gupton; heard you were laid up for repairs," said the reporter. "Well, I have leen about done up for the past month," said Gupton, "but I'm able to le at work again. Say, do you know that when I was 17 years of age I had my back injured, and have been bothered with it ever since; some times it would hurt me so badly I coflld scarcely move, and I've bad a bad at tack during the la.t few weeks; It only bothers me occasionally now." and as he said this he jumped quickly to the seat of a wagon, to which he had a wild horse attached. "Well, you appear to be sprightly enough to-day," remarked the reiorter. "Yes, and if it hadn't been for a simple remedy that I was induced to try for a few days, I would Itedown now, I suppose. What do you think it was?" "A mustard plaster, I presume." Mustard plaster; nothing! No plas ter will do me any good, hay ; you've no doubt heard about that Electropoise remedy that Tom Little has een help ing people out with? "Oh, yea; The Examiner 1ih had oc casion to mention that wonderful Elec tropoise on various occasions." "Well, that's the simple remedy that I used only three times, and here I am feeling as fine as silk and able to handle any kind of a range horse; if I had time to use the Electropoise I am con fident it would cure my back erniaitent ly, bnt I am too busy to stop work, when I'm feeling right, to bother with reme dies."
