Guests last week MiU City friends have re ceived word that Mr. and Mrs. Norman Garrison are manag ing a motel and a group of mobile homes in Sisters. They are former area residents but have been living in Lakeview for a number of years. They have asked their many Mill City friends to stop in for a visit when in the Sisters area. Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Lund quist were two of her brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Petterson of Monterey Park, Ca., and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Petterson and David of Denver, Colo. The group all attended a Petterson fam ily reunion at the home of a cousin at Gales Creek on Au gust 13. Visiting last week at the Lundquist home were Mr. and Mrs. Harve Mossaiur of Huntsville, Ala. They are long time friends with the men meeting years ago in Salem. Mr. Mossaiur an OSC gradu ate, has recently retired from the space program. Weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Elma Stewart were her daughter, Beth Stewart and daughter, Shelly of Port land. P. J’s Beauty Center 239 S. W. Broadway. Visiting over the week end were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ricketts and family from Clo verdale. John Ohmart return ed home with them for a short stay. The Ricketts are former residents and he taught at San- tiam High school. Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Rambo returned home Monday follow ing a vacation trip to the coast and a visit with their son and family, the George Rambos at Medford. While there they took their grand children on a camping trip to Indian Mary park, a lovely spot north of Grants Pass. Be I fore returning home the group took in the Shakespearean fes tival seeing a performance of “The Taming of the Shrew” Miss Linda Budlong honored her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ralph Budlong with a dinner party at her Salem apartment Saturday evening on their 26th wedding anniversary. Attend ing were the honored couple, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Budlong of Mill City, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Glover of Eugene; her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles DeGuire of Silverton and the hostess, Miss Linda Budlong. ________________ Visitors Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Cree were Mr. and Mrs. Martin Craig and three children from Spokane, Wn. Mr. Craig’s father, T. L. Craig, drove Crees’ logging truck in the early 50s and this was his first visit to Mill City since that time. Gu«its the home of Mr. Caro/ and Mrs. Everett Hamilton are their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Hamilton and chil dren of Lake Charles, La. The younger Hamiltons plan on lo cating in the area if he can find employment. Mrs. Tom (Millie) Bone brake of Fox Valley has start ed work at the Jerry Pittam Insurance office. She will re place Mrs. Frank (Marlene) Severs who has worked there for a number of years. Mrs. Severs will be moving to Cen tral Point to join her husband who is employed there. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Doblc spent several days recently at Clear Lake. They rented a cabin there and enjoyed boat ing and fishing on the lake. Visiting several days here last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Verbeck, were Mrs. Kirk Wirick and daughter, Ruth of Reedsport. Mrs. Wirick’s daughter, Joyce, is staying at the Verbeck home, while working at the Stayton Can nery. Marjorie Gehlen, of Gates, returned last week from Wash ington, D.C., where she had at tended a meeting of the Na tional Masuesse and Therapist convention. A queen of that group was crowned while she was there. They received men tion in the Brinkley news re port.
