Re turning home early Sunday evening it was noted that traffic on the North Santiam Highway was exceptionally heavy. Temperature in the Mid-Willamette Valiev over the weekend was in the high 90s and apparently city folks were looking for cooler places Harold Baker. Idanha, was taken by Idanha Rural Fire District ambulance to Salem Memorial hospital about 5 a m. last Thursday for medical attention. Mr Baker was re leased from the hospital earl ier in the week following in juries sustained in a June 30th ambulance accident at Salem The ambulance was on a run to the hospital’s emergency center with an accident victim from here. Here on a weeks visit at the home of Irene Stout were Mr. and Mrs Joe Hanf and a friend Miss Penny Thunstrom. of Minneapolis. Minnesota. Sunday Mrs Stout and her guests spent the day at Depoe Bay fishing They caught six salmon and one large Ling Cod. The Hanis and Miss Thunstrom left Tuesday morn ing and will visit places of interest enroute to their home in Minneapolis. Visiting here recently at the Detroit home of Mrs. June Williamson were Mr. and Mrs. Fon Sarff of Newport. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Han cock and family were Mr. X G • and Mrs. Dixon Morgan and daughter, Allison, of Bishop, Calif. Mrs. Morgan is a niece of Mrs. Hancock. Other visi tors were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gillette of Baker. elyn Moorehead, Mrs. Lillian Lyman. Oregon, deems it necessary and expe dient. and hereby declares its purpose and intention, to con struct and improve a sewer system in the Lark Addition to the City of Mill City, and to install a sewage septic tank and drain field adjacent there, to, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and cost estimates for such sewer sys tem and such tank and drain field which were adopted by the Council at its regular meet ing of July 12. 1972. which are now on file in the office of the City Recorder of such city, and which, by this reference, are made a part of this Notice. The Council hereby declares that it is its purpose and in tention to construct and im prove such sewer system and to install such sewage septic tank and drain field at the ex pense and cost of the proper ties the Council deems will be benefitted thereby, and that it will levy’ equal dollar as sessments against such pro perties to meet such expense and cost.
