Games will start at 1 p. m. and end about 10 p. m. both days. Detroit will play Jewell in the secnd game on the 28th. Championship playoffs will be held on the 29th. The highest temperature in 1971 was 49 degrees on the 20th, against 40 degrees on the 15th and 16th in 1970. The low in 1971 was 30 degrees on the 16th, against 18 degrees on the 20th of 1970. The preci- cipitation (melted snow and rain) was 1.99 inches in 1971, against 2.97 inches in 1970. [ The snoowfall during the week was 2-inches, against no snowfall during the same week in 1970. At present 9- inches of snow remain on the ground, and although we had 14 inches at the beginning of the week, a few brief periods of sun and a few days of rain have reduced it to the 9 inches. No snow on the ground last year during this period. Our snow plows deserve no small amount of praise for the way they have kept our highways clear of snow, a difficult pro ject we must admit, sometimes | necessitating a little plowing I in the cold early hours of > the morniing.
