VOLUME XXVI
NUMBER 23
Up and Down
The Avenue
By Don Moffatt
I believe this year that stu
dents getting out of our high
schools and colleges for sum
mer vacation, or if they are
graduates, are going to find it
difficult to find employment.
This is going to place an ad
ditional burden upon parents
of these young people if they
plan to go on to institutions of
higher learning. It is real bad
when a country which is spend
ing as much as ours, that there
can’t be more job opportuni
ties for these young folks. Pos
sibly if businesses did no:
have to pay so many taxes
they could put more into re
search and in this manner,
possibly develop new products
which could keep our factories
humming.
